I am a “Baby Boomer”, who started his (mainly part time) tertiary studies as a mature aged student.
My qualifications include a four year Psychology degree from Edith Cowan University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from Murdoch University.
I bring to the role of Counsellor, Coach and or Psychologist, over a half century’s life experience. Which role, Counsellor, Coach or Psychologist, I take on largely depends on what the client wants’ or needs.
Apart from earlier “blue collar” work, more recent employment includes a variety of human services work including as a counsellor in the employment services and disabilities fields. Other work included working for about a decade in Centrelink, working in all payment areas, as well as at the Career Information Centre (CIC). This is in addition to working for a short time in the Child Protection area.
Other comparatively recent work includes working for some months researching and writing a resource for parents and others involved with Children with Physical Disabilities.
In more recent times I have been facilitating mandated groups for perpetrators of domestic violence, as well as other groups for prisoners with Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) issues
